OneClickdigital New Patron Interface - Staff Training webinar from RBdigital from Recorded Books on Vimeo.
Oneclickdigital now has a mobile-friendly website that adjusts to the size of your screen. The basic search has keyword, author, title, narrator (patrons sometimes have strong preferences for narrators) and a link to advanced search.
“Browse” on the upper left contains “My Account”, “Help”, and another link to Advanced Search. There are lists of Most Popular, Best Sellers, and Newly Added, as well as the option to browse by genre. “My Titles” lets you see what you have checked out, and you can click on the “x” in the upper right to return a title early, or the downward arrow in the center of the cover to download. (There is no limit to how many times you can download).
“Help” links to tutorials, FAQs and app downloads. If patrons are really stuck, they can go to Support-->Submit ticket and fill out an online form for assistance.
On the left, “Refine Search” lets you limit by genre, availability, age group, fiction/non fiction, language, and whether the titles are protected files or not (protected files may not work on certain audio players). You can see the number of titles that fall under each limiter.
Search results can be sorted by relevance, date, or a-z author/title/narrator. Patrons who search for the same author or topic often can now save the current search. If you don’t like the grid view, change to list view in the upper right.
It’s hard to see unless you hover over it, but the information tab in each record now has links, so you can click on genre, narrator, or series to find other items in that category
Some patrons prefer to use an email address for the user name, so Oneclickdigital now has that option available. The same username and password can be used for multiple library systems.
The app now has a basic search that you can use without having to go to the Oneclickdigital web site. One of my pet peeves with the previous version was that there was no way to tell that your checkout was successful or not, but now the word “success” or “successful” pops up to let you know in both the app and the web site.
