Free eBooks are now available from the Foundation Center on topics such as fundraising, nonprofit boards, nonprofit law, proposal writing, etc.
A library card is not required. Just go to the Foundation Center’s library catalog, the Catalog of Nonprofit Literature, and create an account. This will generate a 6-digit library card.
Users are limited to two books at a time, and the borrowing period is 14 days. The ebooks can be read via the classic Overdrive app, the Kindle app, Kindle readers, and Nooks or other e-ink ereaders.
Foundation Center eBooks are not available via the Libby app. Overdrive is working on a separate app for special libraries.
The Foundation Center has to be added as a library to the Overdrive app. The easiest way to search for is using the keyword “foundation”. The location is listed as Washington, DC.
